Orbea RISE LT M10 (630 Wh) Review

The RISE LT M10 is equipped with a full 16 mm of suspension travel on the fork. The asymmetrical frame also provides 15 mm of travel. This means that Orbea has significantly upgraded its Rise compared to its predecessor. Bike park visits or trips to the legendary trails of Finale Ligure are no longer a problem. Details such as a hidden mini-tool in the frame or a flip-chip for geometry adjustment also show that Orbea has not only worked on the big picture, but also on small details.

In the automotive and motorcycle world, Japan has always had a reputation for being a breeding ground for excellent engines. Shimano is doing its utmost to live up to this reputation in the e-bike world with the EP801 RS engine. The Shimano EP81 RS motor is based on the hardware of the Shimano EP81 motor, but the software for the RS is provided by Orbea. Unlike previous RS versions, this motor now offers a full torque of a hefty 85 Nm, placing it in the performance class of full-power motors like the Bosch CX. The software allows for customization of power delivery through two profiles in the Shimano E-Tube app: one profile for maximum range and another for dynamic force and maximum power. This adaptability gives the rider the freedom to tailor the motor performance to individual preferences. The power delivery of the EP81 RS is always smooth, with no harsh jerks or jolts. However, one must accept a clearly audible motor noise under load. Downhill, however, the EP81 RS is surprisingly quiet. The typical gear clatter of the EP81 motor is barely noticeable in the EP81 RS. Fans of XXL tours are greatly restricted by the RISE LT M10 with only an average range. The battery is securely attached to the down tube and cannot be removed for charging or storage.

At a glance

The most importanten ratings of the Orbea RISE LT M10 (630 Wh) in comparison to the competitor bikes of following categorie: (9000) .

The high-quality Fox chassis also takes away the fear of rough root sections. When it comes to the brakes, Orbea reaches for the top shelf and instals premium brakes with four pistons and 2 millimeter rotors from Shimano. A nice touch: The gear and components are on a very good level. The moderate head tube angle provides a good compromise between stability and agility when going downhill. The reach is also right there in the middle ground. Short chainstays and make the front end light in steep climbs. To keep the front wheel on the ground, you need to consciously lean forward. Overall, the Orbea developers have done a great job with a very god geometry.

Conclusion

Expirience with the Orbea RISE LT M10 (630 Wh)

If you're looking for a comfortable ride for everyday use, the RISE LT M10 isn't for you, because this bike only knows one gear when going downhill - full throttle! With an extremely good geometry, a very good chassis and a very good brake system, it puts most of the competition when it gets really gnarly in its place. Despite its many advantages, the RISE LT M10 also has a weak side. You have to live with a moderate range on this EMTB. The guarantee promise of 25 years provides trust.
